Hospital Equipment Fund
Help Mildmay Hospital care for those in need!
Your gift helps us buy essential medical and therapeutic equipment and keep Mildmay Hospital safe, welcoming and fit for purpose.
Every year, hundreds of people come to Mildmay at some of the most difficult moments in their lives. Many are living with HIV‑related neurological conditions or recovering from serious illness, homelessness or addiction.
The right equipment – and the right environment, makes a decisive difference to their recovery.
With your support, our charity can regularly purchase and replace the equipment that underpins daily care, rehabilitation and recovery: from clinical supplies to physio and therapy equipment, and from specialist beds to the furniture and appliances in each patient’s room.
Because we care for vulnerable and sometimes challenging patient groups, our equipment works hard and wears out quickly. Items need to be replaced frequently through constant use, wear and tear and occasional misuse. Your donation means we can act fast, so there is always safe, reliable equipment on our wards when it is needed most.
You also help us look after the hospital itself. Patient rooms, wards, corridors, kitchens, common areas, our garden and Reception all require regular repainting, repairs and upgrades. Keeping Mildmay clean, well‑maintained and welcoming is vital for our patients’ wellbeing and for infection prevention and control.
By giving to the Hospital Equipment Fund today, you are investing directly in a safer, kinder and more therapeutic hospital for everyone in Mildmay’s care.

Clinical Fridges
From £600
Mildmay Hospital urgently needs to replace one of its clinical fridges, a crucial piece of equipment for storing temperature-sensitive medications safely. While we are replacing one fridge now, all of our fridges are aging and will need replacement in the near future, at a significant cost.
Mildmay is a CHARITY providing specialist services solely to the NHS, not an NHS or private hospital.
Running a specialist hospital is hugely expensive. Around 80% of our income comes from NHS contracts, but this does not cover everything our patients need. As a charity, we depend on people like you to help us raise the remaining 20%. We do not make a profit: every pound you donate is invested directly in our services and facilities, including essential equipment and a safe, therapeutic environment.
