Our Winter Appeal launches today. We’re aiming to raise £30,000 to protect the vital care Mildmay provides for people facing HIV, neurocognitive illness and homelessness. As Christmas approaches, we prepare for Jesus’s homecoming by becoming at home in ourselves. Advent begins with Hope: humility and self-acceptance - not complacency - unraveling interior knots to welcome light. The wreath’s evergreens and candles mark a journey through Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love, guiding reflective practice - scripture, song, and service - toward compassionate action and readiness to brighten the world.

This World AIDS Day, Mildmay stands for Solidarity and Care. We honour lives lost and fight persistent stigma while delivering specialist care for complex needs such as Neurocognitive Disorders and homelessness. Support our Winter Appeal goal of £30,000 to safeguard essential services like Chaplaincy and core patient support. Every gift strengthens our foundation and drives our Uganda partnership.

This year’s World AIDS Day Red Run brought thousands of people together in a cold, wet, but incredibly inspiring show of solidarity. The event raised over £216,000 for 31 HIV charities, with Team Mildmay contributing our highest total yet. A day full of love and community, honouring the heroes who shaped the HIV movement and reminding us how much we can achieve together.

Mildmay has donated vital rehabilitation and clinical equipment to our trusted partners at PhysioNet for urgent shipment to Ukraine. This consignment provides dignity and mobility where it's urgently needed near war-affected areas. Made possible by the compassionate teamwork of our staff, this action reflects the Mildmay way. It also deepens our partnership with PhysioNet as we start shaping new health programmes in Uganda.

Mildmay’s CEO joined a Parliamentary roundtable with MPs, NHS leaders, and lived experience voices to discuss safer hospital discharge for people experiencing homelessness. Three practical interventions were proposed, supporting our mission to provide specialist care and dignity to those most at risk. Read more and support Mildmay’s vital work.

USAID, once the world’s largest bilateral donor, has been effectively dismantled, leaving millions without vital support and slashing funds for global health programmes. With the Global Fund also facing deep cuts, organisations like Mildmay are stepping up. Our new Uganda Health Programme will rebuild and expand care, but we need your support to make it possible.

Support the Education Exchange Programme: fund UK clinicians to gain life-changing experience in Uganda, strengthen local healthcare, and bring back skills that benefit patients and the NHS at home. Every donation helps save lives abroad and at home.

Mildmay’s legacy is celebrated on the newly named London Overground Mildmay line. A plaque at Kew Gardens highlights our journey from 19th-century cholera care to becoming Europe’s first HIV hospital, supported by Princess Diana’s visits. Today, we remain a trusted centre for HIV rehabilitation and holistic care. Spotting this plaquewas a proud reminder of our history, resilience, and ongoing mission.
