Hundreds of runners and walkers came together once again in Victoria Park, Hackney, for the annual World AIDS Day RED RUN.

This event unites the HIV community to raise awareness and essential funds for vital HIV support and prevention projects.

Despite the challenges brought by Storm Bert, which impacted much of the country, this year’s RED was still an incredible success.

While high, gusting winds and rain meant we had to scale back the event—no marquees, refreshment stall, or exhibitions like the AIDS quilt display and Community Heroes – the determination of everyone involved remained strong.

We’re thrilled to announce that RED RUN 2024 raised an astonishing £223,300 overall, which will directly benefit 31 HIV charities! These funds will go a long way in ensuring that life-changing HIV services continue to support those who need them most.

Together, we took action, laced up our running shoes, stood in solidarity with those living with HIV, and proudly affirmed our loved ones while shouting ‘U=U’ (Undetectable = Untransmittable).

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who braved the weather—those who ran, walked, sashayed, volunteered, fundraised, and supported. You made it happen!
