NHS bosses have granted Mildmay another temporary extension to our contract to treat homeless patients referred from hospitals across London.
It is hoped that the contract will run through the winter to the 31 March 2021, pending a review in November 2020.
So not only will we care for HIV patients as we always have done, but we will continue our role as the capital’s primary facility for homeless COVID-19 patients not requiring intensive care, patients on the Homeless Pathway, and other COVID-19 patients that are referred to us needing rehabilitation.
“Thank you for all of your continued support and encouragement. We are still hopeful that our services will be commissioned on a longer term contract, but for the time being we are happy to be treating patients.”
Geoff Coleman, CEO
As a charity, Mildmay receives only about 80 per cent of our funding from NHS contracts. It costs more than £3.5 million a year to keep Mildmay open (depending on our mix of patients).
We don’t make a profit and all of your donations are invested in our services and facilities.
