Leaving detox is just the first step in a much longer journey. True recovery goes beyond medical intervention; it’s about rebuilding lives in a supportive, compassionate environment.
Our REBUILD (Post‑Detox) Pathway offers intermediate rehabilitation in seven ensuite beds, specifically allocated for individuals leaving detox who are sleeping rough or at risk of homelessness. Patients are welcomed into a dedicated ward area where they benefit from peer support and a safe, healing atmosphere. This pathway is an integral part of the Pan‑London Substance Misuse Programme, aiming to address health inequalities among people experiencing homelessness.
Throughout their time with us, patients receive personalised care from our expert multidisciplinary team, spanning medical, nursing, therapy, social work, and substance-misuse specialists. Daily one-to-one and group sessions range from art therapy and gym access to life skills, emotional support, and chaplaincy, all designed to rebuild recovery capital and foster independence.
Each individual works closely with our team to craft a bespoke care plan, reflecting their unique needs, goals, and circumstances. This collaborative approach generates a sense of ownership and encourages meaningful, lasting change.
Many of our patients go on to secure stable housing, reconnect with family or community, and rediscover a sense of purpose.
By supporting Mildmay, you help us provide this vital second chance, transforming crisis into confidence for some of London’s most vulnerable people.
