Our badge commemorates 145 years since the opening of the first Mildmay Medical Mission in a disused warehouse in Cabbage Court (now Little Bacon Street, south of Bethnal Green Road), near St Leonard's Church, in 1877.

By purchasing this badge, you are making an invaluable donation to our charitable hospital while at the same time helping to raise awareness of - and demonstrating your commitment to - our cause. Wear your badge with pride and demonstrate your support for our charity.

Mildmay Mission Hospital Lapel Badge

£5.00Price
  • Design

The design of this badge is inspired by the badge awarded to our wonderful nurses on graduating from their training at Mildmay.

Hospital badges were given to students by the hospital where they trained. These badges were unique to the hospital and there are dozens of designs. Nurses would proudly wear their badge throughout their career. Nowadays students don’t receive a hospital badge, though some have continued the tradition by creating their own.
