The London Walk 2024

The London Walk is a night-time mass participation sponsored event for London-based homeless charities, with their supporters walking either a 10k, a half marathon or a marathon route through London overnight. We are aiming for 300 people to take part and raise money for their chosen charities. We are aiming to raise at least £200,000 across the sector.

We’ll be starting and finishing from The Connection at St Martin’s, near Trafalgar Square.

Registration will start at 6.30 pm*, and the walk will start at 8.00 pm* from St Martin’s in the Fields Church (near Trafalgar Square). Expected finishing times are around 11.00 pm for the 10k, 2.00 am for the half marathon and 5.00 am for the marathon walkers.

Refreshments will be provided for participants, and there will be full event support on the night provided by Adventure Café. There will be space for walkers to rest and recover.

Homelessness is increasing in London, and recent statistics show it’s up 40% since 2010. Whilst the need is rising, homelessness services have decreased due to funding cuts. Leaving people vulnerable to extended periods of homelessness, which has a detrimental impact on their physical and mental health. The London Homeless Collective brings charities (including Midlmay) together from pavement to policy. Collectively, the group shares ideas, experience, and opportunities and work together to ensure that nobody is left behind.
