I worked at Mildmay when it first re-opened in 1985. The Matron at the time was Elizabeth Wilcocks. She and Mrs Taylor Thompson, Ruth Leach and many more fought hard for the hospital to re-open and we all got on our hands and knees and scrubbed the old ward floors and so much more before it opened it’s doors to patients.

I have many happy memories of the Mildmay Hospital and know it must not be closed again!
