I recently came across your website and was particularly interested in the archive section, as my mother (Joan Plant, nee Conway, 1929-2008) worked there as a nurse 1949-52.
I wondered if you might be interested in the attached photo, which I believe shows one of the wards just before Christmas (possibly 1949, as she started her pre-nursing training there in November of that year).
Mum subsequently worked at Southmead, Bristol.
Anyway, feel free to add the photo to your archive if it is of any interest.
