Mildmay’s Carol Concert brings a sparkle to Christmas.

A host of stars brought a sparkle to Mildmay’s Christmas Carol Concert, helping to raise funds to suppport our work in the UK and Africa.

Hot on the heels of Prince Harry’s visit to Mildmay, we were excited to welcome some very special guests to perform at this years Mildmay Christmas Carol concert. Oh what a night, and what a line up – Kim Wilde, Linda Robson, Anita Dobson, Darren Day, Richard Arnold, Robert Powell, Diversity Choir, Sally Harrison, Brenda Cochrane and our very own Dr Alex all joined to make this a really fabulous and joyful evening.  The evening of Christmas carols, readings and solo performances was hosted by Canon Roger Royle, at Spitalfields Church in East London.

The Mildmay Day Service Choir sang It’s a Wonderful World and were greeted with rousing applause, a unforgettable and performance  that moved many to tears.

Director of Fundraising Kerry Reeves-Kneip said: “This has been quite a week for Mildmay, with this fantastic evening coming so quickly after Prince Harry’s visit to our Hospital, it almost feels unreal! This Carol Concert is a very important fundraiser for Mildmay and we are incredibly grateful to all the artists for giving their time and talent to support us. It was such a joyful evening and thanks to our sponsors Genesis Housing, we have raised around £13,000 for Mildmay….and we’re still counting! ”

Kim Wilde, who had the audience singing along and jigging in their seats to Rockin’ around the Christmas Tree’ said: “We had such a great night supporting Mildmay – Listening to carols coupled with benefitting a truly wonderful cause – what’s not to like?”
