We are so delighted to be able to share that Mildmay Hospital has been rated ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Our Chief Executive, Dr Ross White said “I am delighted that the compassionate care provided by our staff, the dedication of our volunteers and the impact of our work with patients has been recognised with an ‘Outstanding’ CQC rating. The CQC inspectors also saw how we use computer technology in a therapeutic way to help patients improve their cognitive health and build their skills for independent living. We share this success with our wonderful supporters who enable our work to continue to such a high standard. We are deeply grateful to them all.”
The Chief Inspector of Hospitals, Professor Sir Mike Richards, said “Mildmay is a unique and impressive hospital. Staff provided additional support for patients, beyond clinical care. They had a detailed, holistic understanding about their patients’ lives and needs.
“Staff advocated for and ensured the best interest of the patient when liaising with external organisations. There was extensive recognition of and provision for the emotional support and wellbeing of patients, with inclusive and personalised spiritual and social support.
“The hospital provided comprehensive rehabilitation training and support to help patients maintain or regain independence in their daily lives.”
