Rural clinics
These were set up due to the need for our model of day care to be accessible to orphaned and vulnerable children in isolated communities throughout Uganda.
Some 17 programmes now operate, reaching out to thousands of needy children with specialist care and support. The programmes are run in partnership with the local community.
One such clinic is the Jinja programme that runs from Buwenge Health Centre, with each Saturday Club reaching out to over 100 children. It features a packed programme of care and activities, starting at 7.30 am and lasting the whole day. Children and their carers are encouraged to come to the clinic between meetings whenever they have a problem
